Caitlin Drap has spent her most of her life focused on physical fitness. It has always been an integral part of her life from playing sports in high school and college to becoming an avid hiker and mountain biker in her early 20’s. After having her second child (now 13), she began her endurance crusade first in running and shortly thereafter in triathlon. She started with small goals, meticulously building up her fitness and endurance, eventually taking on multiple Ironman races and long distance running events. She has excelled in the sport of triathlon, qualifying for the ITU World Championships in 2015 and the Half Ironman World Championships in 2013 and 2019.
Coach Drap has continually shared her knowledge and experience through a career in coaching both youth and adult athletes, helping them to reach their individual goals. Her focus has always been on basic exercise fundamentals and functional training, avoiding sport specific work that can lead to injury and “burnout.” If fact, when she ran the Youth Triathlon program and CPCT, many parents enrolled their "stick and ball sport" kids into her endurance based program to avoid overuse injury, a common result of too many sport specific programs. She remains dedicated to living an active lifestyle and is keen to help more young athletes navigate today's athletic landscape and pursue fitness in a way that works best for them. As a 6 year USA Triathlon Certified coach from 2012-2018, her current credentials include National Alliance for Youth Sports and International Sports Sciences Association in Sports Nutrition. She remains one of the most sought after coaches in the area and one of the top age group triathletes in the country.
